Pearl Jam to play Wrigley?

By

After penning lyrics like “We are one with the Cubs/ With the Cubs we’re in love,” it’s not news Pearl Jam lead singer Eddie Vedder is a die-hard North Side baseball fan.

And with Wrigley Field playing host to several high profile acts the past few years, it was only a matter of time before Pearl Jam was booked.

Both sides seemed to indicate an announcement was close via Twitter Tuesday. The Cubs and Pearl Jam both tweeted the same photos of Wrigley Field with the hashtag “staytuned.” Pearl Jam also tweeted “Looking good.”

The Cubs sent out a tweet that included “Ten,” and a repeat of the “stay tuned” hashtag. There was also a link to a photo of a Ron Santo Cubs jersey (he wore No. 10). “Ten” is also the title of Pearl Jam’s debut album.

Stay tuned indeed.
