SPRINGFIELD, Ill. -- Tickets for the Illinois State Fair concert appearance of country music star Toby Keith go on sale Feb. 9.

For the first time, music fans will be able to buy a special VIP pass for the Grandstand track.

The new pass guarantees a prime viewing location close to the stage. Only 1,000 will be sold. Holders of the passes will be escorted into the area 30 minutes before the opening of general admission gates.

State Fair Manager Amy Bliefnick says the VIP passes will allow diehard fans to get spots close to the stage without standing in line all day.

Keith performs Aug. 14. General admission track tickets for the concert cost $50. The new VIP pass goes for $65.
