Probation for Streamwood man charged with solicitation

By Barbara Vitello

Editor’s note: This story was updated to correct that Jones pleaded guilty to solicitation, not indecent solicitation.

A 35-year-old Streamwood man charged last year with texting inappropriate messages to a teenage girl has received probation in exchange for his guilty plea.

A Cook County Judge Monday sentenced Anton Jones, of the 200 block of Ascot Lane, to 24 months of probation and ordered him to pay $679 in fines in exchange for his plea to solicitation.

The judge also ordered Jones have no contact with the girl.
