St. Charles East choir receives invitation to rock and roll!

By

Jim Peterik, rocker extraordinaire, returns to St. Charles with the 13th year of the World Stage tour at the Arcada theater.

World stage is all about bringing together different musicians and singers to blend talents and while it's different every year, people still walk away saying its one of the best shows they've seen.

Once again, Peterik has invited the St. Charles east chorale up on to the stage to accompany him on one of his original songs "We Wish". Peterik came into choir class on Monday Jan. 14 to listen to the rehearsal process and to give some insight to the song.  While the chorale has been invited to sing this particular song before, Peterik hopes that this year will be particularly touching in lieu of the recent tragedy in Connecticut.

The chorale is also featured in the song "A Brand New Hallelujah" sung by Lisa Mcclowry, an up and coming singer.

Peterik says "Working with the chorale for this concert is always a win-win". Class was ended by singing the classic "Eye of the Tiger" written by Jim Peterik.

The World Stage tour will be the first time the original singer of "Eye of the Tiger" from the band "Survivor" will be performing on stage with Peterik along with Peterik's band Ides of March, his own son, Sijay, performing the fist time with his father together, and St. Charles' own Leslie Hunt plus many more artists.

The show will be Saturday Jan. 19 at the Arcada theater in downtown St. Charles. Tickets are available for purchase on the arcada's website.
