Wirtz Q&A: No long-term damage from NHL lockout

Blackhawks owner Rocky Wirtz says he understands the anger and frustration some fans feel toward the NHL lockout, but he told the Daily Herald he doesn't believe there will be any long-term damage to the sport.

In a Q&A with veteran hockey writer Tim Sassone, Wirtz said he doesn’t believe the NHL suffered any lasting damage during the more than three-month shutdown, and he was prepared for the season to be canceled if it came to that.
