The former Glenwood School for Boys campus on Silver Glen Road will not become the Kiva Recovery Center, Campton Hills trustees decided Tuesday night.

After months of consideration, Campton Hills trustees voted 4-2 to deny the controversial Kiva Recovery Center, a 96-bed facility proposed for a former private school. Residents vehemently fought the plan to the end. “We need to look at that and be a representative government,” Trustee Al Lenkaitis Jr. said.
