Elgin CC to host ISCC Tip-Off Classic

The Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference men's and women's basketball season will kick off this weekend when the conference's eight schools converge on the Elgin Community College Events Center for the league's second annual Tip-Off Classic.

The ISCC women's teams will begin league play on Saturday, while the men's season commences on Sunday. Game times both days are at noon, 2 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.

The schedule of games will be the same each day with Moraine Valley playing Morton at noon, Prairie State taking on Lake County at 2 p.m., McHenry meeting Oakton at 4 p.m. and ECC battling Waubonsee at 6 p.m.

"The Classic is a tremendous opportunity to showcase the basketball student-athletes in our conference," ISCC commissioner Bob Fairbank said. "Four-year schools will get the chance to see all of the players in the Skyway Conference up close, and we're extremely excited about the help this tournament will be in drawing attention to our quality players and programs."

All games will also be streamed live at www.ihigh.com/elginspartans.
