Itasca man jailed on child porn charges
An Itasca man accused of possessing child pornography was jailed Friday on $200,000 bail.
Miguel Cacucciolo, 23, of the 400 block of Sunnyside Avenue, faces seven counts of aggravated child pornography possession and five counts of child pornography.
A warrant was issued for Cacucciolo’s arrest Thursday after an online investigation by Wheaton police. He is accused of possessing pornographic images and videos of children generally younger than 13. The charges also allege he disseminated or attempted to disseminate child pornography.
“He did admit to viewing the images,” Assistant State’s Attorney Bethany Jackson said in bond court.
She said Cacucciolo had no prior criminal history.
DuPage County Judge Elizabeth Sexton set bail at $200,000, meaning Cacucciolo would have to post $20,000 to bond out of jail. Sexton ordered him to have no contact with minors and no computer or Internet use if he is released.
His next court date is Jan. 24 in front of Judge Blanche Hill Fawell.
