A Chicago woman has been charged with prostitution after offering a sex act to an undercover police officer at a Libertyville spa, authorities said Wednesday.
Hong Yang, 41, of the 300 block of Cermak Road, was released from police custody after posting 10 percent of her $1,000 bond, Lake County Sheriff's Sgt. Sara Balmes said.
Balmes said officers received an anonymous tip that employees of the Dragon Spa, in the 400 block of Peterson Road, were offering sex acts for money during massages.
During a joint investigation between the Lake County Sheriff's Office and the Libertyville Police Department, three undercover detectives went to the spa and received hourlong massages, Balmes said.
On Tuesday, Yang offered a sex act to one of the detectives for an additional fee, Balmes said, prompting the officer to arrest the woman.
Yang is due back in court Jan. 23, Balmes said.
