Illini ranked No. 12 in latest AP poll

Unbeaten Duke and Michigan hold the top two spots in The Associated Press’ college basketball poll for the fourth straight week while the Fighting Illini defeated a Top 10 team and dropped a notch.

Duke received 62 first-place votes Monday from the 65-member national media panel, with Michigan getting the other three. Louisville overtook unbeaten Arizona to be ranked third.

Illini dropped a game to unranked Purdue before defeating No. 8 Ohio State on Saturday. The Illini fell one spot to No. 12 in the AP poll. The USA Today/ESPN poll has Illinois at No. 13, just behind Missouri and ahead of Ohio State.
