The Des Plaines City Council Monday night will consider spending about $400,000 to buy a used aerial ladder truck from Lake Zurich to replace an aging ladder truck well past its useful life. “It's an unusual find,” Fire Chief Alan Wax said. “Lake Zurich has decided to change its operations.
