• Crystal Lanan, 21, of the 2000 block of Spaulding Avenue in West Dundee, was arrested Thursday in Carpentersville and faces several drug charges, police said. Police say she possessed 1.3 grams of heroin; three hypodermic needles and other items of drug paraphernalia were in her car, a 2005 Dodge Neon, Cmdr. Timothy Bosshart said. Lanan was charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a hypodermic syringe and possession of drug paraphernalia, Bosshart said. Lanan's bail was set Friday morning at $40,000, which means she needs $4,000 to get out of jail.
