'The Voice,' 'America's Got Talent' auditions set

Local performers, get ready for your shot at superstardom: January offers chances to audition for both “The Voice” and “America's Got Talent.”

Auditions for season five of NBC's “The Voice” will be Saturday, Jan. 12, and Sunday, Jan. 13, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, 5555 N. River Road, in Rosemont. Applicants must be at least 15 years old and a legal resident of the U.S., along with other eligibility requirements. All performers must register in advance at nbc.com/the-voice/about.casting to be given a time slot. Singers should be ready to share personal stories about themselves and their talent.

Season five airdates have yet to be determined; season four starts in March.

Performers of all ages are invited to audition for season eight of “America's Got Talent,” also on NBC, on Saturday, Jan. 26, and Sunday, Jan. 27. Auditions are at McCormick Place, 2301 S. Lake Shore Drive in Chicago. To preregister for an audition slot and for more information, go to agtauditions.com.

Season eight of “America's Got Talent” will air this summer.
