Runner-up for DuPage’s first baby ‘something special,’ mom predicts

Snezhana and Igor Kalinin of Riverside hold Isabella, who was born at 12:50 a.m. Jan. 1 at Adventist Hinsdale Hospital in Hinsdale. The Kalinins are from Riverside. Isabella has a sister, Ella, who is 3. She was the second baby born in DuPage County on New Year's Day.

Hope Labbe, born at 12:13 a.m. on New Year's Day, rests with mother and father Fidan and Sean Labbe of Aurora, at St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates. She was the first baby born in Northwest Cook County.

The first baby of 2013 born in DuPage County arrived at 12:29 a.m. at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield. Not far behind was Isabella Katalin, born at 12:50 a.m. at Adventist Hinsdale Hospital.
