The Sheldon Peck Homestead at 355 E. Parkside Ave. in Lombard is listed on the National Park Service's Network to Freedom, a list of verified Underground Railroad sites. The Lombard Historical Society will mark the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation at the homestead from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1.
