A Lake Villa man found dead in his truck in Antioch on Christmas Eve died of natural causes. Lake County Coroner Thomas Rudd said. David Heaton, 26, of Lake Villa had elevated levels of glucose and alcohol, which combined with the cold led to his death. Rudd said Heaton was not being treated for his diabetes and he also had an enlarged heart. "Essentially, it was natural causes that did him in. Not being treated for the glucose, I think, the alcohol and exposure pushed him over." Heaton showed up intoxicated at his ex-girlfriend's house on Dec. 23. The woman told police she hadn't seen him in a year and told him to leave but he was too drunk. Rudd said she drove him in his truck to his workplace in Wisconsin but it was closed. She returned and parked a block from her house and left him sleeping in the passenger seat of the truck. Police found him at 7:47 p.m. the next evening.
