Carol Stream police arrest two men on child porn charges

By Christopher Placek

Carol Stream police on Friday announced the arrests of two men in connection with separate child pornography investigations.

On Friday, police arrested Andrew P. Quinn, 33, of the 17W300 block of Birnam Trail in an unincorporated area near Willowbrook, on seven felony counts of aggravated possession of child pornography.

Carol Stream police and members of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force executed a search warrant at Quinn's residence on Nov. 13. After his arrest, he posted the required bond and was issued a January court date.

On Dec. 13, police arrested Patrick E. Riley, 20, of the 300 block of Wrightwood Avenue in Addison, on three felony counts of possession of child pornography. He was being held at the DuPage County jail on $15,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court Monday before Judge George Bakalis for a hearing.

Police said they've been conducting a third child pornography investigation since September, but there is an outstanding arrest warrant in that case.
