Kankakee man dies in forklift accident

ST. ANNE, Ill. — A northeastern Illinois consignment auction worker has died after becoming trapped in a forklift.

The Daily Journal in Kankakee reported that 21-year-old Jacob Dluzak of Kankakee died Wednesday morning. A co-worker at St. Anne Farmers Consignment Auction found Dluzak trapped in the bars of a boom forklift. The Kankakee County coroner says Dluzak was pronounced dead in the emergency room at a Kankakee hospital.

The Kankakee County sheriff’s office was investigating the death. An autopsy was planned.
