Time for ‘yes’ on budget deal

I am puzzled. Why can’t our elected officials (President, Senate and House) come to a compromise as to how we can balance the budget? In my home when the finances are “tight”, we cut spending. We don’t make any new purchases and we definitely stop doing some of the things we enjoy (movies, trips, dinners out, etc.).

It seems to me that the government is similar to my household budget, only on a larger scale. Come on, let’s stop digging in your heels and give a little. Nobody is completely right on this issue and as President Obama promised, come together as one government, not “them and us.”

They are all acting like spoiled little children, stomping their feet and saying “no”. It is time for “yes.”
