Minor train derailment in Chicago

Authorities say a commuter train at a downtown Chicago station has derailed, but no passengers were on board.

Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford says there were no injuries reported in the derailment Monday evening. Fire officials say several cars were on their sides.

Metra spokesman Tom Miller says it was an inbound train coming into Chicago’s Union Station and there were no passengers on the train.

He confirms that there were no injuries.
