The man was identified as Morris Giles of Chicago.
Police say he was struck Saturday morning by a truck making a left turn. Giles was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. He was pronounced dead around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Police cited the truck’s driver for failure to yield to a pedestrian and failure to exercise due care. Authorities are investigating the incident.
