One injured in tollway accident
One person was injured Wednesday evening in a one-car accident on the Northwest Tollway, according to police.
A spokesman for the Illinois State Police said the accident occurred at 9:47 p.m. in westbound lanes, near the northbound exit to Route 53.
He did not know how the 2004 Chevy SUV got flipped on its side but said a male victim was taken to Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights with nonlife-threatening injuries.
