Hanover Park police launch traffic safety campaign

The Hanover Park Police Department has started its 2012 holiday "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over/Click It or Ticket" crackdown to step up enforcement against drunk drivers and seat belt violators.
Now through New Year's Eve, officers will focus enforcement efforts between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m., a period when violations play a more significant role in vehicle fatalities. The campaign is administered through the Illinois Department of Transportation and funded by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
