Thousands compete in Schaumburg gymnastics event

By

The Hawaiian Pineapple Invitational sponsored by the Buffalo Grove Gymnastics Center is taking place Friday through Sunday, Dec. 16, drawing more than 2,000 male and female gymnasts and thousands more spectators to the Schaumburg Convention Center.

Gymnastics clubs from around the Chicago area are competing at the event, which is in its sixth year.

Throughout the weekend, the Buffalo Grove Gymnastics Center is conducting a raffle for gymnasts and spectators, with proceeds donated to the Disabled Patriot Fund, a local nonprofit charity that provides financial aid to disabled patriots.
