All sides must agree to spend less

This country must learn to live within its means. Congress must rise above partisan politics and do what we all must do — not spend more than we make. Will some people feel a financial punch? Of course. But if we don’t act, and act now, all of us will suffer.

I call upon the Congress to act responsibly and right now. Once again, the federal government and the major party interests simply must get together and legislate to reduce the amount of money being spent on running our government. There are no easy ways out that the other guy could be taking advantage of. I am a Republican and there must be an honest and equitable effort by all Republican and Democratic legislators to vote for every bit of legislation that can be used to reduce the cost of running the government.

Needless to say, the White House itself must be the final and necessary piece to the puzzle of running the country in an orderly way that will reasonably quickly remove the national debt. All groups must do their part. You should all write your congressmen and tell them what you want done. Only then can the cost of running Congress be reduced. This should include a letter to the president, demanding that he pressure Congress to spend less.
