In the letter entitled “It’s un-Christian to discriminate,” Louis S. Guagenti seems to express two opinions.
The first opinion is criticism of Jim Finnegan’s letters, which Guagenti views as “the guise of being the Ultimate Christian”. The second opinion is a non-Christian view of the teachings of Jesus.
Regarding Mr. Finnegan’s published letters, I firmly agree with Mr. Finnegan’s opinion in those letters I have read.
As to Christian teaching regarding homosexuality, the entire Bible strongly condemns homosexuality. That definitely includes the teachings of Jesus.
Christ promised his followers both trials and inward peace, and he commanded righteousness in daily living. Deviation from that righteousness brings on consequences, and one of the consequences of homosexuality is a life span shortened by an average of 25 years.
