Top high school recruit Jabari Parker of Simeon Career Academy appears set to announce his college choice.

The Chicago Sun-Times first reported that Parker will reveal his decision Dec. 20 at 3 p.m. at the school, and coach Robert Smith confirmed it to other media outlets on Wednesday.

Messages seeking comment were left with Parker's parents and Smith.

A 6-foot-8 forward, Parker is one of the most prized recruits to come along in recent years. Duke, Michigan State, Florida, Brigham Young and Stanford made his top five.

Parker has been slowed while recovering from a foot injury after leading Simeon to its third straight state championship as a junior.
