Police said they are searching for two suspects in an armed robbery at a Wheaton bank Tuesday.

The two masked men entered the West Suburban Bank at 221 S. West Street around 5:30 p.m., according to a news release from the FBI.

Police said both robbers entered employee areas of the bank. One robber jumped over the teller counter and took an undisclosed amount of money from the bank's safe and teller drawers. Both robbers then fled on foot. No injuries were reported.

Witnesses described both men as black. One is described as being between 5 feet, 6 inches and 5 feet, 8 inches with a medium build. He was wearing a black mask, a gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black boots and black gloves. He also was carrying a black backpack and a black semiautomatic handgun.

The other robber was described as being between 5 feet, 8 inches and 5 feet, 10 inches with a slim build. He had a white hood over his head and was wearing a black mask, a red jacket with a white insignia on the upper-left chest area, blue jeans, white Nike gym shoes and purple gloves.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Chicago office of the FBI at (312) 421-6700.
