The Cook County Board has granted the village of Palatine’s request to make a section of Quentin Road a truck route capable of supporting commercial freight truck traffic loads up to 80,000 pounds.
Trucks needing access to businesses on Colfax Street now can use Quentin from Palatine Road to Northwest Highway. Before, they were using the more residential Smith Street.
The village petitioned the Cook County Department of Transportation and Highways to keep trucks away from neighborhood streets.
