Some suburban post offices open Sunday

Select post offices in the suburbs will be open for a few hours on Sunday, Dec. 16, to help people get their holiday mail out on time. "This is one of the most exciting and busiest times of the year for the Postal Service, and select post offices will be open on Sunday, Dec. 16, to make shopping and shipping easier," says Peter Allen, Central Illinois district manager. Open from noon to 4 p.m. are post offices in: Carol Stream, 500 Fullerton Ave.; Glen Ellyn, 757 DuPage Blvd.; St. Charles, 2600 Oak St.; Lombard Station, 226 Yorktown Shopping Center.; Huntley, 11013 N. Woodstock St.; and Schaumburg, 450 S Schaumburg Road. The post office at 122 N. Wheaton, in Wheaton, will be open 1-4 p.m. on Sunday.
