Gratitude for a small gesture of kindness

text size: AAA

In November I was in the Wheeling Walmart purchasing a skein of yarn. I went to the checkout and a couple with a basketful of items was in front of me. They mentioned since I had one item, I could go in front of them.

After giving my purchase to the cashier, I realized I was a dollar short. I told the cashier I would put it on my credit card. The gentleman took out a dollar and gave it to the cashier. I told him I would use my credit card, but he insisted I take the dollar.

I thanked him and said God's Blessings to you. There definitely are good Samaritans among us.
