St. Paul Lutheran Members Star Struck at Sabbath Center

Eight members of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wheaton attended an awesome retreat at the Sabbath Center in Lanark, IL. “Awe and the Sabbath Rhythm of Life”, led by Pastor Bruce Booher of First Lutheran Church of Plano challenged us to open our lives to the mystery, awe and wonder of God’s creation. The overnight retreat included walking through a scale model of the polar system, holding pieces of various comets and meteorites, discussing how faith and science relate in revealing the mystery and meaning in creation and astronomical observing such as the moon, Jupiter with its moon and bands, the Andromeda Galaxy, the Pleiades star cluster, the Orion Nebula and more.
