Man charged in burglary at Naperville hospital

Naperville police have arrested a 27-year-old Chicago man after a series of thefts from staff and patients at Edward Hospital.

Tyrese K. Watson was charged with burglary and is being held at the DuPage County jail in Wheaton, where he is awaiting a bond hearing.

Police said Watson was spotted by hospital security staff stealing personal items from hospital personnel and patients and then fleeing in his car. Watson is accused of using a stolen credit card to buy gas and cigarettes at a Naperville gas station. Later in the day, they located Watson’s car in Bedford Park outside a business where Watson was buying gift cards with stolen credit cards, police said.

Watson was arrested with assistance from Bedford Park police.

Other stolen goods were found inside Watson’s car, police said.

Police said more charges are likely forthcoming.
