Glen Ellyn frozen yogurt shop to hold grand opening

GLEN ELLYN — SkinnySweet Frozen Yogurt, a family-owned small business, is the first self-serve frozen yogurt shop in Glen Ellyn and is hosting a grand opening on Saturday, Dec. 1.

The shop, at 545A Roosevelt Road, serves 21 daily flavors of a variety of yogurts including nonfat, low-fat, diary free, no sugar added and gluten-free frozen yogurts, including signature flavors, such as sea salt caramel.

The flavors are changed often and there are more than 60 toppings, including fresh fruit, granolas, cereals, candies, sauces, whip cream and more.

During the opening ceremony from 1 to 4 p.m., free frozen yogurt will be served and face painting offered. Marianne Cielak is the owner of the business that is open during the winter from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and noon to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
