SoxFest lineup expands with more players
The Chicago White Sox announced an expanded list of current and former players scheduled to appear at SoxFest 2013 that now includes Gavin Floyd, Paul Konerko, Alexei Ramirez, Adam Dunn, Addison Reed and Chris Sale.
SoxFest will be held Jan. 25-27 at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago.
The special SoxFest hotel rate is $278 (plus applicable taxes and fees) for a two-night stay. Fans who book a two-night stay are eligible to purchase up to four SoxFest weekend passes. SoxFest hotel packages and weekend passes will be available for purchase in the same transaction at whitesox.com. Weekend passes can only be purchased by fans who book the two-night stay, and Friday night of SoxFest is open only to SoxFest hotel guests with weekend passes.
Former White Sox players scheduled to attend include 1983 AL Rookie of the Year Ron Kittle, outfielder Carlos May, first baseman and broadcaster Tom Paciorek, along with current Sox broadcasters Ed Farmer, Darrin Jackson, Ken “Hawk” Harrelson and Steve Stone. Other former players scheduled to attend include Joe Crede, Jermaine Dye, Jack McDowell, Aaron Rowand and Frank Thomas.
As previously announced White Sox manager Robin Ventura is scheduled to attend SoxFest, along with assistant hitting coach Harold Baines and former teammate Greg Luzinski.
Hotel guests purchasing a weekend pass will receive an exclusive, limited-edition SoxFest Luzinski bobblehead doll (one per SoxFest weekend pass purchased).
