Artist Klunk returns to Adler Center

Artist Robert Klunk is returning to the David Adler Music and Arts Center in Libertyville. Displayed in the historic Adler House, the exhibition will offer art enthusiasts the opportunity to view and purchase original works.

A familiar name in the Chicago art community and longtime friend to the Adler Center, Klunk’s exhibition will showcase his vast talent for the craft and will give art followers the opportunity to discover the beauty of his rare medium, Klunk’s favored technique, copper etchings and watercolor.

Inspired by his many travels and love for architectural history, Klunk’s work is exceedingly detailed, from his conceptual sketches and handmade paper to the final matting and salvaging of framing. After the success of his first exhibit in 2001 and again in 2011, Klunk is “Honored to be associated with the David Adler Music and Arts Center.”

His work will be on display Dec. 7-21 with an opening reception 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7.

Guests will receive complimentary wine and can meet Klunk during the reception in the ballroom of the historic Adler House at 1700 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville. The work will remain on display from 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays until Friday, Dec. 21; closed Monday, Tuesday and Sunday.
