Antioch Township boy’s love of police leads to special recognition

Mekhi Carter was all smiles after being recognized as a Junior Round Lake Beach Police Officer. The 3½-year-old was born with a heart condition and has had three open-heart surgeries. The department gave him a custom made police uniform for Halloween and followed up with the recognition.
