Man robs Arlington Heights tanning spa

A man with a knife robbed the Ultimate Exposure Tanning Spa in Arlington Heights Tuesday morning.

Police say a black male entered the salon, on the 1000 block of East Golf Road, at about 11 a.m. and slipped the clerk a note demanding money, her cellphone and the salon's phone.

The suspect, between 20 to 25 years old, wore a dark blue cotton zip up hooded sweatshirt. He had a knife up the sleeve of his shirt with the blade visible to the clerk.

The suspect stole about $90 and two phones. No injuries were reported. He left on foot, and police were unable to locate him.
