2 teens charged in Hoffman Estates armed robbery

Two teenagers were arrested and charged as adults in a Hoffman Estates armed robbery.

Two people were sitting in a parked vehicle on the 600 block of Bode Circle when police say four individuals approached the car and used a gun to rob them of a small amount of cash and a cellphone. The incident took place in September.

On Sunday, two of the four were arrested and charged with armed robbery with a firearm -- a Class X felony.

Both appeared in bond court Monday and were given a $100,000 bond.

The additional two participants have not been taken into custody.
