Geneva teen collects coats for sheriff’s office

Lynne Woodruff, Sheriff Pat Perez, Eagle Scout candidate Ted Spiro and Undersheriff David Wagner thanked Spiro for his successful "Second Chance Coat Drive," which resulted in 300 winter coats for inmates at the Kane County jail. Spiro, of Geneva, went to more than 1,500 homes throughout the Tri-Cities to solicit the coats.

As part of his Eagle Scout project, a Geneva teen goes door-to-door and collects 300 coats to be distributed to inmates being released by the Kane County jail.
