Clinging to hope for state’s recovery

Now that the Madigan redistricting has paid off handsomely, U.S. congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. (MIA for six months and prepping for indictment) was re-elected, state Rep. Derrick Smith (charged with bribery) was elected, the six Cook County judges deemed useless and/or corrupt were safely approved, and the state of Illinois is back in business as usual. At Michael Madigan’s direction, hopefully these people can move the state of Illinois up from 49th place in most economic measures. Like the president, they are inheriting a complete mess from the last four years. Hope springs eternal!
