Do me a favor:
If you’re reading this in line right now, could you pick me up a three-speed juicer?
That’d be great, thanks.
On a scale of 1 to 10, my confidence level on the Rusty Lisch–O–Meter is about a 5 heading into Sunday’s game against the Vikings.
And that’s not good:
Because while the Bears’ last two games were hyped to the bejesus, Sunday’s showdown is the most important one of the season.
Psychologically at least.
To the Kansas City Royals for claiming Chris Volstad off waivers.
If my enormous floating head were part of the Macy’s parade, they’d need at least 20 sturdy people working the ropes.
Name one football player or coach on either Rutgers or Maryland’s roster.
Yep, me too.
“Maybe they should just have a draft, each conference should just draft teams … except then they’d have to make a decision and they wouldn’t be able to figure it out.”
— Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim, on the college conference-hopping mayhem.
Based on experience flying out west, I’m not back to normal until late Day 2, early Day 3.
NFL teams typically fly out west the day before a game.
Time to break that tradition.
Which comes first?
A solution to the NHL lockout or a solution to the fiscal cliff?
My confidence level on the Erskine Bowles–O–Meter is about a 4 on both.
For not having to memorize a whole new generation of car dealership owners because all the ones I grew up with are still around.
Not sure how, but they’re still around.
It’s all space talk to me:
I know it shouldn’t happen, but my eyes just glaze over whenever I read about transactions on the 40-man roster in baseball or the practice squad in football.
How in the world ... :
Did Mark Buehrle not get a no-trade clause written into his contract?
Bells and balls:
Watched the new video of NBA players dribbling to the Christmas song “Carol of the Bells.”
Then went ahead and listened to the actual song because honestly I wasn’t sure which one it was.
Watched the NBA video again.
It’s over. It’s all over:
Jason Hanson’s doink off the upright in OT will be the lasting image of yet another lost season for the Lions.
Stick a fork in ’em.
Though it’s the right thing to do, there’s no joy to be taken from the benching of Gabe Carimi.
Rebuilding the line is just going to take that much longer now.
What a record:
I know he had a couple of draft hits, but man did Jerry Angelo miss … a lot.
Good to see Bozo in the Chicago Thanksgiving Day parade.
Refresh my memory again; You can catch the Bozo Show at what time on Channel 9?
I’m thankful that most of us got to spend time with family and friends.
That should happen a lot more, shouldn’t it?
