How big of a discount would lure you to the mall at 4 a.m. on Black Friday? Would you ever consider “camping out” in front of a store for the chance to get your hands on a popular item?

Some national retailers don’t make you wait until the wee hours. As staff writer Jamie Sotonoff reported, Target, Toys R Us, Walmart and Hoffman Estates-based Sears actually started their big holiday sales on Thursday night, in a trend known as “Black Friday creep.”

What’s the earliest — or latest, as the case may be — you’ve gone shopping?
