Glassblowing open house in Mundelein

The public is invited to visit local glass artist James R. Wilbat, featuring free glassblowing demonstrations in his Mundelein studio every weekend through Dec. 16. The open houses feature continuous glassblowing demonstrations by the award-winning artist, visiting glassblowers, glass designs not available outside the studio, refreshments and a drawing to win a piece of Wilbat's handblown glass. All ages are welcome. Wilbat Glass Studio is at 854 Tower Road in the Cairo Industrial Park, Mundelein. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays.
