A Naperville man improved from critical to fair condition Friday after crashing his motorcycle Thanksgiving morning in DeKalb County.
Paul L. Guinand, 64, was riding his 2002 Harley-Davidson on Route 30, west of University Road near Shabbona, when he lost control of his vehicle around 11:30 a.m. Thursday, DeKalb County sheriff’s officials said.
The motorcycle skidded into a ditch on the north side of the road.
Guinand was taken by helicopter to Rockford Memorial Hospital and was in critical condition Thursday evening. By Friday, hospital officials said his condition had improved to fair.
DeKalb County officials could not confirm whether any citations had been issued.
