Waukegan band in parade

Students in Waukegan High School’s Bulldog Marching Band will participate in the McDonald’s Thanksgiving Parade in Chicago on Thursday. The nationally-televised parade runs from 8 to 11 a.m. in downtown Chicago. The Bulldog band will be one of a handful of marching bands making its way down State Street, along with other floats, equestrian groups, stage performances and giant helium balloons. It is the second time in three years the band has been selected to perform in the McDonald’s Thanksgiving Parade, which is viewed annually by more than 3 million people. The parade, now in its 79th year, will be broadcast live across the country on WGN, Channel 9.
