4 incumbents file in North Aurora

Four incumbents filed for re-election to North Aurora offices Monday.

Trustees Chris Faber and Mark Gaffino are running in the April election. President Dale Berman is seeking another term, as is Clerk Lori Murray.

Allen Cavender filed a petition seeking election as trustee.

Faber and Gaffino are seeking second terms.

Trustee Vince Mancini, also elected in 2005, is up for re-election.

Berman, who announced his bid in September, is seeking a third term.

Berman was village president from 1985 to 1989. He was also a village trustee for 14 years, and served on the economic development committee, the zoning board of appeals, the planning commission and the police commission. He served 10 years on the board of the Fox Valley Park District, and is the president of the Aurora Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. If elected, it would be Murray’s second term as clerk.

At least seven people would have to run for trustee to require a Feb. 26 primary, and at least three apiece for clerk and president.
