A Batavia man has been charged with robbery and vehicular invasion, accused of robbing a woman Monday at a gas station in North Aurora.

According to North Aurora police, a woman reported at 8:40 a.m. that a man approached the vehicle in which she was sitting at the Thorntons station, 418 S. Lincolnway, and asked for money. When she refused, the suspect reached in, struck the victim in face and abdomen, and took $13.

The suspect was found near Provena Mercy Medical Center on Sullivan Road.

Greer, of the 0-99 block of North Batavia Avenue, is charged with felony vehicular invasion, felony robbery; and misdemeanor battery.

On Oct. 29, Greer was charged with driving under the influence of drugs in North Aurora, according to Kane County court records.

He has felony convictions going back to 1984 in DuPage and Kane counties for forgery, theft, possession of a controlled substance, making a false police report, aggravated battery of a peace officer, resisting arrest, robbery, and receiving or possessing a stolen vehicle.
