Carpentersville man charged with sexual assault of relative

A Carpentersville man has been charged with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old female relative, according to authorities.
Alfredo Vidigaray, 36, of 125 San Juan Road, faces five Class 1 felony charges for criminal sexual assault of a family member younger than age 18.

Carpentersville Police Cmdr. Tim Bosshart said police worked in conjunction with the Children's Advocacy Center on the case.
"We assisted them, but they did the investigation," Bosshart said.
According to court documents, the offense occurred between June 1 and Nov. 11.
Vidigaray is being held on $500,000 bail at the Kane County Adult Justice Center. His next court date in Nov. 28.
