About this Article
A Glen Ellyn man received $1 million in lottery winnings Wednesday after noticing he won on a ticket that had been sitting on his desk for two months. Ron Yurcus, a retired hospice chaplain, discovered the Powerball ticket a few weeks ago. “About 12 tickets had accumulated on my desk, and I decided to tidy up to make room for my new computer,” he said. “I checked the winning numbers on the Illinois Lottery website and just about screamed when I saw that I won.”Galleries by Category
